My involvement in the Hobart Magazine started in 2021 after being recommended for a position by one of my teachers from TasTAFE.

My role involves laying out the pages of the monthly magazine. This includes stories, interviews & events as well as recipes and reviews. I also have had the opportunity to produce and update ads for some of the businesses that advertise in the Hobart Magazine.

I work closely with the editor & writer of the Hobart Magazine to ensure that each page comes to life perfectly. Having this constant contact with the editor throughout the layout process helps things to run smoothly and allows me to have an understanding of each story or ads purpose and allows the editor to understand the design process that goes into each magazine.
