Reuse your bags!

These illustrations were my application to paint one of the signal boxes around Hobart through Urban Smart Projects. This idea was based around the signal boxes near the Cat & Fiddle arcade and shopping district. I wanted to feature a colourful painting of people walking past carrying reusable shopping bags (a bag saying something like “reuse your bags” or “bring a bag”) and reusable cups to promote sustainability while also bringing in a sense of nature to a busy city street with leaves and flowers in the background. I wanted this colourful and happy painting to deliver a subtle reminder for people to carry their reusable bags when they go out shopping.
